Fort Lauderdale Stars Covid-19 Guidelines & Procedures
Everyone Doing Their Part

 

While Fort Lauderdale Stars is doing our part to keep you and your loved ones safe, its imperative for families and gymnasts to do their part on mitigating and keeping everyone safe too! Below is and outline of precautions, procedures and guidelines that are to be followed. Please read and go over with family.

Employee Protection
• Employees screened for temperature (not to exceed 100.4) and symptoms upon arrival to work
• Employees will wear masks when at work
• Consistent hygiene with washing and sanitizing throughout day
• Educate and train staff on Covid-19 safety protocols
• Practice social and spacial distancing
• Prohibit congregating

Facility Concerns
• Deep cleaning of facility by our professional cleaning company nightly
• Locker rooms closed
• Water fountains closed
• Equipment sanitized after every rotation
• Common areas sanitized every 30 mins
• Sanitizers installed throughout gymnastics area
• Lobby-room chairs removed

Consumer/Child Protection
• Drive up temperature check for students being dropped off
• Temperature check of anyone entering building
• Only one parent or guardian entering building upon arrival and pick up
• Social and spatial distance amongst all and Instructor
• Adults must wear masks in facility at all times
• Children are required to wear mask (County Ordinance)
• Sanitizing and/or washing hands will be done after every rotation
• Child will stay with one group throughout the day
• Curriculums are devised to perform skills/progression without spotting
• Spotting will be used for safety and proper execution only if needed

Class Arrival and Dismissal & Miscellaneous
• Please arrive on time
• Arriving - Drive up to awning for temperature check before gymnast enters facility
• Pick up - Please have large paper with child’s last name written with Bold/Capitalized letters
• Gymnasts will be with instructor outside facility for pick up
• Have sports bag/back pack for all belongings including shoes that will go in their bag. Pack bottled waters with name on it.

Fort Lauderdale Stars will be opening registration for Back to School Classes AUGUST 12, 2020. We will be modifying classes and schedules to meet the current recommendations by local, state and federal officials. This includes several various other resources from many respected organizations like CDC, Florida Department of Health American Camp Association and etc.

A Recap of some key areas that we will be focusing on for classes and community safety but not limited:

  • All classes with less than 1/2 capacity
  • Children wear masks
  • Small class groups with social and spacial distancing
  • Registration online or at facility kiosk
  • Sneeze guard partitions at front desk
  • Classes redesigned for safety
  • Drive up temperature checks daily before child enters gym for drop off
  • After class drive up pick up
  • Social and Spacial Distancing amongst groups, equipment and other children at all times
  • Education and awareness for all staff members administering safety protocols
  • Educate classes on safe practices and practicing washing/sanitizing hands
  • Mask worn by all coaches, students and facility staff (Anyone in Facility)
  • Locker rooms will be closed
  • Water fountains will be closed
  • Awareness posters will be posted
